| We offer understanding, patience, respect and dignity to our residents |
|
- In a unique care setting |
Our residents are here because they can no longer safely live independently in their own homes. Acknowledging this, and then selecting a loved one's new residence, is one of the most difficult decisions a family member or friend will ever make. We have designated Delta View to make the transition into a new lifestyle as pleasurable as possible. |

| Visiting Our Resident |
| |
|
| We encourage families and close friends to participate in our residents' care and welcome their discussion of any aspect of it with us. Family pets are welcome to visit (here, we do favour restraints). Visitors can take their family member or friend out for a walk, for a picnic, or hold a special celebration in a private room. Our dietitians and culinary staff make every effort to accommodate individual wants and needs, while meeting prescribed nutritional needs. |

|
| As a visitor, knowing what
to expect (or not to expect) from a resident with dementia will
make the occasion more meaningful. |
| |
|
| |
A quality visit provides comfort, support,
and reassurance to the resident. It also leaves the
resident feeling loved, valued, and cared. |
| |
|
| |
Visiting your loved one has tremendous
effect on you, the visitor, as well. After a positive
interaction with the resident, the visitor is left with
feelings of success and satisfaction. You know that
you have made a positive difference in that person's
day. |
| |
|
| |
A quality visit keeps the visitor coming
back and helps to maintain a sense of love and belonging
for the resident. |
| |
|
| |
Why not end your visit with "I'll
see you soon" or "I love you" |
