Delta View Campus of Care is proud to have a team of caring and hard working staff.

Our staff are trained in the GENTLE CARE® program by Moyra Jones, and participated in continuing education programs. We strive to maximize the functioning of each person by focusing on his or her strengths, abilities and interests and by creating a helpful, non-stressful, supportive environment.

We are committed to a philosophy of excellence in aging and dementia care. A no restraint policy is in effect. We provide professional care 24 hours a day that is individual, gentle, caring and sensitive. Residents are encouraged or assisted to achieve the highest level of physical, mental, social and spiritual well being in a safe and secure setting.

GENTLECARE®

For more than two decades, Delta View has maintained a no restraint policy within our facilities. We have also maintained what we call a "hugs, not drugs" policy, having proven repeatedly that removing sources of patient fear and anxiety has in many instances produced better behavioral results than medication. These and other treatment protocols are prescribed by the GENTLECARE® program, in which our staff are professionally trained.

The GENTLECARE® philosophy focuses on adjusting the organizational environment in which the resident with dementia must operate, then developing a supportive living space to accommodate the resident in their current functional stage. It avoids challenging residents to adapt or perform in ways that are no longer possible.

Caring in Large and Little Ways

We have created an exceptional living environment for our residents, ensuring their physical comfort and providing programs which nurture their capabilities, bring pleasure and interest to their lives, and promote a balance of body, mind, and spirit.

The present care giving staff to patient ratio at Delta View is one to six. Our staff members are multi-national and therefore multi-lingual.

They are skilled professionals with the clinical knowledge and also the emotional stamina to care for and nurture our unique resident population . Our residents are in good hands.

Life in All Its Stages Should Be Life Richly Lived

At Delta View, we value the unique feelings and capabilities of each of our residents, understanding that a life impacted by diminished physical and cognitive ability is in no way a life less valuable. We believe each resident is entitled to our help in maximizing their functional ability and maintaining self-esteem and dignity. We recognize the challenges this can present to our staff as well as to family members and friends.
